Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/58.0.3029.96 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Install MetaMask and setup new account until you reach a screen with "History" and "No Transaction History" 2. Click on the hamburger menu and select "Import Account" 3. For Select Type, choose "JSON" 4. Click the file input button that appears. What is the expected behavior? The file select window should appear while the extension stays open. What went wrong? The file select window does appear, but the extension popup closes as a result. WebStore page: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/metamask/nkbihfbeogaeaoehlefnkodbefgpgknn Did this work before? No Chrome version: 58.0.3029.96 Channel: stable OS Version: 16.04 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 25.0 r0 Specific to Ubuntu, seems to work fine on OSX and Windows.

Able to reproduce the issue on Ubuntu 14.04 using chrome version 58.0.3029.96.Extension popup disappears as soon as the file select window opens.Issue is not observed on windows and Mac. This is non regression issue as the issue seen from M50 builds.M47 and prior builds not supporting the extension. Marking it as Untriaged to get more inputs from dev team. Thanks,

I see this same issue on Windows, version 3.6.5 in Chrome Version 58.0.3029.110 (64-bit) Import allows for the file dialog to open, but then after selecting file, it doesn't bring you back to MetaMask.
