Using datalist element on a browser extension closes the extension

Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/58.0.3029.96 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Install MetaMask and go through the process of creating a new account 2. Click Send 3. In the recipient address field, start typing "Account" 4. When the select element pops up, select the only option, "Account 1" that pops up. What is the expected behavior? The datalist element should work normally--allowing the text field to be filled with the selected option. What went wrong? Selecting an option in the datalist will close the extension altogether, making it impossible to automatically fill the input. Able to reproduce the issue on Mac 10.12.4 using chrome version 58.0.3029.110. this is working fine on canary 60.0.3100.0.
