Open the above link, and scroll down to the bottom of the page. What is the expected behavior? The horizontal lines should all have the same thickness throughout, and look like the lines at the top of the page. What went wrong? Lines lower down the page are rendered with strange thickness changes. See screenshot. This happens in more than one of my SVG scores. Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before? Yes Unknown exactly. There was no problem a few weeks ago. Does this work in other browsers? Really weird. On Mac I see it even on the first set of lines, so the scrolling is not the issue. What I find particularly odd is the fact that it is only at the endpoints of the lines, and not along the entire width. I'll try bisect.

Bisects to this Skia roll. https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+/e3693acd42860c0c30001b8735fc8d5f5c0e961e The lines are horizontal but not positioned at integral locations, so they draw as 2 pixels high in various shades of gray for anti-aliasing. In the broken case, some portion of each end of the line, on one or other of the horizontal pixel rows, is drawn as black (or much darker gray). So the bug is that the antialiasing drawing is not stable across the entire width of a horizontal line.

I have a desktop and a laptop, both running up-to-date Windows 10 and Chrome 58.0.3029.110 (64bit), and have just noticed that the bug only manifests itself on the laptop. Maybe that helps?

Just tried the test page (at the top of this page) again on both desktop and laptop. When scrolled, the lines now look perfectly okay on both machines. Unfortunately I can still see the old problem while scrolling on the laptop. That still needs fixing.

Contrary to Comment 10 above, I am still seeing the thicker ends of lines on both laptop and desktop. Its much worse when actually scrolling, but often still quite visible when the view is stationary. I also see the problem reported in Issue 793558 .

Thanks. I'm seeing the fix in Canary, but not yet in the current Chrome build (63.0.3239.132 (Offizieller Build) (64-Bit)). Doubtless that will change soon. :-) |
