Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/58.0.3029.96 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Go to Settings 2. Disconnect Your Google Account 3. What is the expected behavior? To be able to choose what is deleted if you put a check mark in the box for "Also clear your history, bookmarks, settings, and other Chrome data stored on this device." What went wrong? See this closed issue : https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=719704 I had a moment of not paying attention, quickly scanned the first few words of what putting a check in the box does, I mistakenly then thought "yeah I do want the History and stuff deleted" - And I should have paid a bit more attention to what the rest of the stuff actually was Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 58.0.3029.96 Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: Could the Check box wording be made bold for the items that will be cleared ? And preferably add more check boxes for individual items to clear "Clear your BOOKMARKS on this device" "Clear your SETTINGS on this device" "Clear your HISTORY on this device" "Clear other Data on this device" Having individual choices would also make you slow down and think about it a little more before putting any checks in the boxes And every time I wish to log out, I would want to delete History, but keep my Bookmarks and Settings .. Maybe I would want to also check 'Other Data' if we knew what that even meant - Its obvious its important data with regards to the user, otherwise it would not be mentioned there in that dialogue, but obfuscating what it actually means makes me suspicious of it and want to delete it because I think that google is trying to hide something they dont want us to know what we are deleting. If I knew what it actually was maybe I might allow it to not be deleted (assuming that the idea of having them all as individual selections is allowed to go ahead) Someone responded on the previous topic after closing it with "I'm going to close this as working as intended, but if I misunderstood something or you think a particular dialog's text is misleading, please reopen.". I do not know how to reopen the bug topic, so have made a new one here.

If you want to delete just browsing history, I would suggest using chrome://settings/clearBrowserData I'm curious to hear more about your use case though, why are you frequently signing out? Why does it make sense to delete browser history but leave bookmarks? Is this a shared device? Would it make sense to use multiple Chrome profiles?
