Chrome OS frequently fails to respond to external input devices without reboot |
|||
Issue descriptionChrome Version : 57.0.2987.146 OS Version: 9202.64.0 What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Connect keyboard, mouse, monitor, network and power cable to USB-C hub (https://www.anker.com/products/A8342041). 2. Connect hub to Chromebook Pixel 2. What is the expected result? Devices are all recognised by laptop and usable. What happens instead of that? The monitor and power cable always connect successfully. Half the time the keyboard and mouse connect; the other half the laptop won't respond to any input. Sometimes it will start responding after ~20s, otherwise it will require a reboot. Specifically if I connect the devices and they don't work, I can reboot the laptop, without touching the connection, and they will start working which seems to indicate a software issue. I have also tried unplugging and replugging in the devices which normally leads to Chrome OS crashing and restarting. Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible. Will do that next time it happens, thanks. Yes, the external display is also connected to the hub and displaying the extended desktop at the time of the issue.
