Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_12_4) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/57.0.2987.133 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: See https://jsfiddle.net/ngLbyv5a/ The following works on Firefox but not on Chrome. 1. Select browse from the select box. 2. Expect the file input window to come up What is the expected behavior? I believe according to WC3, as long as the action is a user initiated action then programatically clicking on an input box should bring up the file selector provided by Chrome. See https://html.spec.whatwg.org/multipage/interaction.html#triggered-by-user-activation What went wrong? The chrome file selector provided by the browser is not coming up when the user selects "browse" from the select window. Did this work before? N/A Does this work in other browsers? Able to reproduce this issue on Mac 10.12.4 with chrome stable #58.0.3029.110, Canary #60.0.3096.0 and also in earlier version M30 - #30.0.1549.0. This is a non-regression issue, hence marking it as untriaged. Attaching a screen-cast for reference. Note: Issue is not observed in Windows 10 and Ubuntu 14.04 with stable and Canary builds.
