Issue descriptionVersion: 60.0.3091.0 53d3ccbec20a48789f3328737e2034a7798cb7c7-refs/heads/master@{#469814} OS: Windows (7,8,8.1,10),Linux (14.04 LTS),Mac OS X(10.11.6,10.12.1) What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Launch chrome, navigate to NTP and open devtools 2. Now in console drawer click on 'More options' iron icon and select 'Search' 3. Now type any text in search field and continuously press 'Enter' key to search and observe place holder text in the bottom area Actual: Text message overlaps with progress bar after hitting 'Enter' key Expected: Text message should not overlap with progress bar after hitting 'Enter' key This is regression issue, broken in ‘M 56’ and will soon update other info : Good build:56.0.2900.0 Bad build: 56.0.2902.0

https://codereview.chromium.org/2453553002 is related to LayoutNG(new rendering engine). The new layout engine is not enabled in any channel.

Thanks! During the search we replace text with "Searching...", so ellipsis is not related to text overlaps, it describes that we're currently searching. |
