Issue description
UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/58.0.3029.96 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. In hterm type `echo '<胡雨軒 Петр>'`
What is the expected behavior?
The text should be echoed, additional lines should render normally.
What went wrong?
Terminal output becomes misaligned such as
```
Marty @ C:\Users\Marty
> echo '<胡雨軒 Петр>'
<胡雨軒 Петр>
Mar
ty @ C:\Users\Marty >
```
this persists until the output is offscreen.
Did this work before? N/A

It seems this is caused by an underlying component for interfacing with terminals in Windows. see https://github.com/rprichard/winpty/issues/105
