I don't see any reason why we should activate A in either case. Switching windows is similar to switching tabs and we don't do it in that case. Does anyone else have opinions here?

The Mac OS X case is really weird: the browser activates, but it's like it's a fake activation. The toolbar stays greyed out and the window stays in the minimised portion of the dock; you can't really interact with the window at all. Clicking on the window in the dock makes it run the maximise animation and then it's usable again. I agree that having the window activate when it's minimised on a prompt is strange behaviour. I think I feel the same for when I have a prompt come up in an unmaximised but non-active browser window.

Re-tested on all platforms and everything seems fine now, nothing takes focus (see link in previous comment). |
