dcheng@, does OOPIF affect this issue?

OOPIF doesn't affect this issue either way: currently the Location object is bound to the Window object. So if the Window object changes, we will get a new Location wrapper. When we swap local to remote or remote to local, we get a new Window and thus a new Location object. I'm not sure why the "navigation from initial about:blank page" case is failing, since I would have expected that to work.
