Can't view passwords in new MD settings

Issue description

59.0.3071.29 (Official Build) beta
macOS 10.12.4, TouchBar macbookpro

- go to settings (MD settings) to view a saved password
- click 3-dots menu, click "Details"
- click "eye" button in content-modal dialog
- OS auth dialog appears, fill in password successfully

expected:
- password revealed

actual
- nothing happens

There is no way to view saved passwords. Also note that the auth dialog takes about 10 seconds to respond to any key presses and another 5 to determine if the password is correct. May be unrelated.
