Extension process crash on Linux dev channel brings down renderer

Project Member Reported by sunn...@chromium.org, May 3 2017

Issue description

Chrome Version: 60.0.3080.5 (Official Build) dev (64-bit)
OS: Goobuntu

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Go to inbox.google.com
(2) Open two emails at the same time (this opens in a pop-out view with each email in a box at the bottom).
(3) Copy a link from one email, try to paste into another by using Ctrl-K shortcut on selected text.

What is the expected result?
Not crash.

What happens instead?
The page crashes. chrome://crashes shows two crash reports when this happens.

This happened two times to me, one initially and then again after I reloaded the page and performed the same steps. I can't get this to happen the third time.

Crash ids from first crash: 2d4a107640000000, 2cba107640000000
Crash ids from second crash: a2db0c5350000000, dd9d345350000000

The crash reports are for extension process in each case and are not symbolicated. Crash says it's missing symbols for the chrome binary. I can't figure out which extension crashed from the crash report but I'm guessing it's the inbox extension?

I was able to repro on Windows too. This time there was only one crash report and it was symbolicated.

Looks like a duplicate of bug 715107.
