import password from firefox doesnt work

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.12; rv:53.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/53.0

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. follow usual method to import.
2. but at the end no passwords are imported
3. 

What is the expected behavior?

What went wrong?
no errors

Chrome version: Version 58.0.3029.81 (64-bit)  Channel: stable
OS Version: OS X 10.12
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 25.0 r0

Tested the issue on windows 7 , mac os 10.12.3 and ubuntu 14.04 using chrome M60 #60.0.3089.0 and stable M58 #58.0.3029.96 and issue is reproduced.

This issue is also seen from M40 and is a non-regression issue.

Marking it as untraiged for further inputs on this.
