Chrome hangs if Find-On-Page open when tab closed

Chrome Version: 58 Stable, Canary 60.3083
OS: Windows 10

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Open example.com
2. In a second tab, open https://whytls.com/test/frames.htm
3. Tick the Random Cycle box
4. Hit CTRL+F 
5. Type "Domain" in the Search box

Close the tab by clicking on the "X" in the tab.

Chrome window hangs.

Possibly related to  Issue 709595 ?
