Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/58.0.3029.81 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Left click on a extension in UI while Chrome in second screen 2. Move mouse down the main menu 3. The further down the mouse, the more contradictory the gap between the mouse and the executed click/hover effect etc. What is the expected behavior? When my mouse is over a section I want that section to be highlighted. When I click on it, I want it to be opened. What went wrong? When mouse is over first section of menu, everything is alright. The further down I go, the greater the gab. When mouse is over 7th section, highlighted and executed is 9th section (see attached). Did this work before? Yes Before a Windows Update sometime last summer Chrome version: 58.0.3029.81 Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: Chrome menu works fine. Only appears in menu of all installed extensions and only on second screen. Worked before a Windows 10 update in summer 2016. Only appears when you use windows with 2 different monitor scalings!!! 1. Screen: FullHD, Windows 125% 2. Screen. FullHD, Windows 100% Looks like scaling of main monitor (screen 1, 100%) is applied to chrome extension menus (and extensions only), even when chrome is displayed on screen 2 (125%). CHromes main menu works fine.

Did you try with 2 monitors who have different windows scaling (see screenshot attached)? I tested on a second machine, same problems. Doesn't apprear with extensions who use chrome menu but extensions that have their own menu style such as "Fireshot", "LastPass", "AdBlockPlus", "Google Tag Assistant" etc. Works fine with Adobe Acrobat even though this plugin doesn't use standard menu. Can't do Screencast unfortunately, mouse pointer isn't recorded at the right place as well - which looks like a windows problem then.

I am using a Laptop with LCD screen resolution of 1920x1080 px. It is scaled in Windows 10 settings to 125 % because it is 15,6 Inches small and otherwise I couldn't read a lot of stuff. The resolution stays at 1920x1080 px, I didn't change that in Windows! My second external monitor has 1920x1080 px resolution as well. Because it is a 27 Inch size, I don't have to scale up windows in order to see things properly. Windows scaling stays at 100 %, Windows resolutions stays as well at 1920x1080 px. The problem doesn't affect Chrome itself, native Chrome menu, or Tab content (websites, Chromes setting sites or Extensions setting sites). It only applies to Extension menus which use there own Menu theme. Extensions using the Chrome Menu theme/appearance are not affected. The bug is affecting the use of this extension for example: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/share-to-classroom/adokjfanaflbkibffcbhihgihpgijcei Please also see attached screenshot.

Tested on reported latest Stable #62.0.3202.75, Dev #63.0.3239.18 on Windows 10 and able to reproduce the issue. However, issue is not reproduced on latest Canary. Using the reverse bisect providing the bisect results, Good Build: 64.0.3243.0 (Revision: 509636). Bad Build: 64.0.3242.0 (Revision: 509211). You are probably looking for a change made after 509520 (known good), but no later than 509521 (first known bad). I am seeing this problem on Version 66.0.3359.170 (Official Build) (64-bit) so as far as I can tell, it isn't fixed. To reproduce, I click on the Adblock Plus icon and as I scroll the mouse down the menu, the selected menu item is vertically offset relative to where the mouse is.

Same problem as my original report from April 2017 on Windows 10.0.1713 Build 17134 (64 bit) using Version 66.0.3359.139 (Offizieller Build) (64-Bit) Version 66.0.3359.170 (Offizieller Build) (64-Bit) I don't see any problems with: Version 68.0.3426.2 (Offizieller Build) canary (64-Bit)

Customers are still seeing this issue on 66 and 67, but latest Canary build (v.68) seems fine.
,
May 22 2018
I confirm, this is fixed in chrome canary 68.0.3437.2. Triple screen [100%, 175% main, 175%] on Win 10 Pro 1803.

May 28 2018
Are there any plans to merge the fix with 67?
,
May 29 2018
Since this is a long standing bug, you may need to wait for M68 stable(last week of July). Really sorry for the delay.
