Can't setup google Now reminder in address bar

Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/57.0.2987.133 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. set search engine as Google 2. create a reminder in address bar, such as 'set a reminder to join meeting at 10:00 am' 3. What is the expected behavior? Google only show search result but failed to call Google Now reminder interface for confirmation. Then, to create a reminder: On your computer, open Google or a new Chrome browser window. If you aren’t already signed in, click Sign in. In the search box, type remind me followed by what you want to be reminded about. For example, remind me to buy pastries at Starbucks . Click Remind me on Google Now. When it’s time for your reminder, you’ll see a card in the Google app on your Android device. Did this work before? This is not chrome bug, so closed it here. By the way, does it work when you directly search on google.com? if not, maybe you did not turned on the Google app feed. If this still doesn't work for you, you can try to report on https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!forum/websearch, or via "Send feedback" at the bottom of google search result page.

Thanks for follow-up. Just find the reason, it caused due to Google settings. Open Google in Chrome, then click settings at the bottom, next Search settings--- language of search result, then remove simple Chinese -- save. Test 'create reminder' in address bar and Google website, the Google Now reminder comes out again. Just guess maybe related with Google Chinese country policy. But really stupid to limit in the language of search result option as I thought it used to shows results in different language only. Then I remember the reminder function is only available in English which request me to change the mobile phone language to English. Well, thanks again. |
