Able to reproduce this issue on Mac 10.12.4, Win-10 and Ubuntu 14.04 using chrome reported version #58.0.3029.81 and latest canary #60.0.3079.0. This is a non-regression issue as it is observed from M30 old builds. Hence, marking it as untriaged to get more inputs from dev team. Note: Same behavior is observed in Firefox also. Thanks...!!

Can you post a jsfiddle of the issue happening in Firefox? The fiddle that I posted will not work in Firefox, because pointer events are not supported...http://caniuse.com/#feat=pointer

Any fix coming for this? Chrome in general does not work well with a Surface stylus, and some web-apps are unusable with a Surface Pro Stylus in latest chrome. Specifically double clicking with a stylus, does not work as a mouse double click. Most of the time it doesn't even register as a double click. Some testing I did: Double clicking with a stylus for selecting a word doesn't work. Tripple clicking with a stylus for selecting paragraph doesn't work. Web apps that are designed with double clicking to open certain things, does not work with stylus. |
