Page doesn't reload after hitting cmd+R key from keyboard.

Issue descriptionChrome Version: 59.0.3071.21 (Official Build)f7ed5b73ba2bc808b7a6b056f48e62205274e0ee-refs/branch-heads/3071@{#145} 64-bit. OS:Mac (10.11.6, 10.12.1) What steps will reproduce the problem? (1)Launch chrome and navigate https://wrong.host.badssl.com/input/password/ (2)After loading the page crash it manually via chrome://kill (3)Now click anywhere on page and press cmd+R,observe Actual:Page doesn't reload after hitting cmd+R key from keyboard (i.e after 2 & 3) Expected:Page should reload after hitting cmd+R key from keyboard This is a Non-regression issue seen from 'M33' series i.e 33.0.1705.0 Note: Issue not seen on Win & Linux OS.

Though I'm not sure how a killed renderer is supposed to respond to keyboard events...

There's no reason cmd+R ever needs to go to the renderer. But I bet the way that the input handler is currently set up fails to do this correctly.

This appears to work, but the interstitial delays reloading. Cmd+R and manually pressing the reload button have the same behavior: nothing happens for ~4 seconds, then the interstitial reloads

The delay sounds undesirable, but otherwise the refresh does happen. If we want to address the delay, feel free to open a new bug for it. |
