OS Version: 10.0
URLs (if applicable) :
Other browsers tested:
Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
     Safari 5:
  Firefox 4.x:
     IE 7/8/9:

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Exiting out of Chrome but still runs in background
2.
3.

What is the expected result?
That internet data transfer should stop

What happens instead of that?
Still constant data transfer, both tx and rx, with browser closed and exit from chrome running, but not unchecking the run in background.

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.

UserAgentString: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/57.0.2987.133 Safari/537.36

Note I do not use Safari or Apple software that I am aware of. But I guess I should investigate removing that somehow.

Can you provide us with a network trace from chrome://net-internals?

There are a few reasons why this can happen. 1) background extensions could be doing something 2) chrome auto updater could be downloading data.
