Live editing JavaScript files results in unexpected undefined error

Reported by petton.n...@gmail.com, Apr 19 2017

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Fedora; Linux x86_64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/52.0

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Enable file mapping
2. Edit a source file by adding a window.alert('foo') inside a function
3. Save the file
4. Evaluate the function

This happens from time to time, I cannot systematically reproduce it.

What is the expected behavior?
The new function is evaluated, a dialog pops up with "foo".

What went wrong?
I got the error "TypeError: window.alert is not a function"

Did this work before? N/A
