Feature Request: Blue light filter (F.lux type)

Reported by wilburfo...@gmail.com, Apr 19 2017

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS x86_64 9202.64.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/57.0.2987.146 Safari/537.36
Platform: 9202.64.0 (Official Build) stable-channel cyan

Steps to reproduce the problem:
I see this, and many others see this as a key feature for any OS, please could you look into adding the feature in future builds

What is the expected behavior?
A built-in feature like f.lux would be perfect.

What went wrong?
My retinas! lol

Did this work before? No

Chrome version: 57.0.2987.146 Channel: stable
OS Version: 9202.64.0
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 25.0 r0

Chrome os is utterly perfect other than this feature.

One of the biggest things that kept me from full on committing to ChromeOS was the lack of a built in "Night Shift" or other F.Lux esque app -- I can absolutely second this as a vital feature Chrome OS absolutely should have, given that Chrome extensions have very limited control. The best extension out there for stuff like this is Screen Shader but even it has its limitations
thanks for reporting! you can get a preview of Night Light feature in canary and soon in Dev!
Thank you! This is exactly what I (and many others) have been waiting for! I feel a lot more comfortable committing to something like the new Chromebook Pro with Chrome OS continuing to mature as it has!
that's great to hear! please let us know what you think of Night light once its out!
Wow. Awesome! Great (and quick) work, I can't wait to check it out :) This is why I love the Chromium project.
Hi again - you can test Night Light in M61 Dev now. Let us know what you think.

Hi there, I've been using it for a while now. It is exactly what I was after. Thank you so much!!!!!!!
awesome! happy to hear that :)!
