No UI feedback for a long time if you copy many files from MTP |

Issue descriptionWhat steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Select ~2000 files in a MTP folder 2. Press Ctrl-C 3. Create a new Files app window 4. Press Ctrl-V in Downloads What is the expected result? UI responds fast to Ctrl-V What happens instead of that? I took about 30 seconds before the copy progress appears at the left bottom of Files app window Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible. URLsToEntriesWithAccess is heavy operation especially on slow storage devices such as MTP connected ones. Previously, progress center was updated only after URLsToEntriesWithAccess was finished. On ToT (c1f83c1e9c3eb2dcf4a8d07a60c0753fd7dba5ea) it seems the feedback became very slow again even though the CL in #2 is still effective. I would investigate that. |
