My www://google.ca link was modified to:
www.google.ca/?gfe_rd=cr&ei=cf0bVv3RH6KC8Qf2qbHAAQ&gws_rd=ssl
And the picture displayed is not for your best interest (child abuse)...
I had to go into the Google Chrome "Favorites Editor" to erase all the occurrences of the link mentioned above.
Searching in the favorites I also found other Google links with redirection by searching for "?gfe_rd", I deleted them all.
Works like a charm again, thanks.

Hi, sorry you had a bad experience. I can't reproduce it from that URL.

It's possible you have software on your machine that is injecting other content for google.ca.  Try running the Chrome Cleanup Tool which can fix issues like that.
