OS hard lock-ups for the past two weeks

Reported by daniel.b...@gmail.com, Apr 15 2017

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS x86_64 9334.42.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/58.0.3029.68 Safari/537.36
Platform: 9334.42.0 (Official Build) beta-channel glimmer

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Do anything
2. Wait
3. Hard Lockup

What is the expected behavior?

What went wrong?
Not sure, this has been happening for the past couple weeks, really since 58.x. When the system locks up there is nothing in the crash log, everything is frozen, only a hard reset of power will restart the machine.

Crashed report ID: N/A

How much crashed? Whole browser

Is it a problem with a plugin? No

Did this work before? N/A

Chrome version: 58.0.3029.68 Channel: beta
OS Version: 9334.42.0
Flash Version:

We are seeing this on every Lenovo Yoga 11e Chromebook that is in the beta channel (have 5 currently we are testing beta release on). This will happen in guest mode as well while logged into a user so extensions are not an issue here.

We have completed a hard OS reset as well as a fresh ChromeOS install and still experience the issues.

I have a glimmer on my desk which has a week of uptime, so it seems fine on R63. Please reopen if it still happens.
