Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_11_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/57.0.2987.133 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open http://codepen.io/nicokoenig/full/PmYaOZ/ 2. Click button "block main thread" What is the expected behavior? all three animations should still animate even if the main thread is blocked. What went wrong? animation (using percentage value with transform: translateY) on the compositor thread is blocked when the main thread is blocked. Did this work before? N/A Does this work in other browsers? N/A Chrome version: 57.0.2987.133 Channel: stable OS Version: OS X 10.11.6 Flash Version: current webkit browsers don't have this problem

Tested the issue on Mac 10.12.4 using latest stable 57.0.2987.133 and could not reproduce the issue.Could you please review the attached screen cast and let us know if any steps missed from our side. Thanks!

@sandeepkumars, your screencast clearly shows the animation of one rectangle is interrupted (paused).

I can confirm the issue on linux with M58. But I don't know what we are supposed to do here. Over to composited animations folks to comment.

Isn't this a duplicate of http://crbug.com/389359 which has an accompanying design doc: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1yo_mRVyawtqDXUF9U-RypGCRAQzYFFW-Ox1D1h6h5-o/edit?pli=1# The one animation affected is using percentage value. Marking this bug as dupe of that but please reopen if I'm off base. |
