Chrome auto add more website in the search engine omnibox.. before (old version) it request right clic on the search bar in the site to add.. and add only the one chosen, without polluting a list especially after several months! +When choice one by default search, it go in the first list.. good,I used it to clean my search list, and appear in the list to fast switch defaut for omnibox. but why after more day, it return in the polluted list, just Google,Yahoo and Bing stay in the default list? and why sync with all my chrome browser all search engine list, I never use? Currently it is easier to create a bookmark than to go to manage this list.

(Marked as duplicate of the bug "chrome:///settings/searchEngines totally flooded with custom search engine entries", as I think that's the core of your complaint. Let me know if I'm wrong.)
,
Dec 13 2017
yes, flooded, and regression because before I can add search engine entries with right clic on each search box to add it for search from omnibox and set directly shortcut, name and edit search string.

Ah, I see from (bug 750534) that you still want to talk about adding search engines. Reopening this bug and narrowing its focus. Adding search box folks. The reporter says "please restore manually add the search engine with right click on search box." and then easily "set directly shortcut, name and edit search string."

2 are linked: chrome remove 'add as search engine' because now it's auto added! (auto= all) problem is not only to 'add as search engine' but to not auto add it. Each month I must remove the auto added because it pollutes my entries. Same as bookmark.. I choice to add to bookmark and define name, url. Very bad experience added with scheiss design

This is probably by decision of Chrome UI people to auto-add (and remove right-click manual add) search engines, so forwarding component to UI. Blink's <input type="search"> implements part of it, but is not a descision maker on this matter.

sites with search option always add up alone !! while I do not want facebook.com, drive.google.com and all the file search sites (torrent, link ...), online store, and other !! with the addition of the key word corresponding to the domain name !!! So totally stupid !! Why do my search in omnibox by typing drive.google.com TAB; while I can do it by typing dri ENTER; and grab my search directly on drive; see often have documents searched directly! and even worse with translate.google.com ! The omnibox has not used at all from before! we even wonder why this shit still exists! While before we could add as a favorite, a search box by customizing the keyword immediately! Soon Chrome will manage our favorites by itself? new clean this day! community.letsencrypt.org translate.google.fr drive.google.com facebook.com extreme-down.pro maps.google.com kodi.wiki station-drivers.com taobao.com .. ..
