Chrome hangs Mac

Project Member Reported by rbondi@google.com, Apr 13 2017

Issue description

Chrome Version : 57.0.2987.133
OS Version: OS X 10.12.4
URLs (if applicable) :
Other browsers tested:
Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
     Safari 5:
  Firefox 4.x:
     IE 7/8/9:

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Resize window (with more than one profile open)
2.
3.

What is the expected result?
The window resizes, I continue working.

What happens instead of that?
The window resizes, and the entire computer hangs except for the cursor. Nothing I click on reacts, though. I can alt-tab to see icons, but there is no focus change. If I wait for the screen to go to sleep and try to login, the login screen appears, but nothing appears in the password field as I press keyboard keys.

This has happened twice in the last three days.

AFAICR OSX has _never_ hung on me since it was released by Apple years ago.

Tested this issue on Mac OS X 10.12.4 using using chrome reported version stable # 57.0.2987.133 & Chrome latest stable # 58.0.3029.81 and couldn't reproduce the Issue. Followed the below steps:

1. Opened more than one profile -> Resized window
2. Able to click and observed no hang is seen

rbondi@ Would it is possible to attach Crash Dump from Mac when this happens. Also does this generate any crash id under chrome://crashes?

Thanks!

Suspecting this is Issue 713854 .

Is it possible to set Activity Monitor up on the Memory tab to see wired memory levels and memory pressure levels when this happens again?
