Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/57.0.2987.133 Safari/537.36 Example URL: http://www.jgoodies.com/ Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. go to any mentioned site with drop-down hover menus 2. hover over some menu, select any item and left click it 3. the menu just disappears and nothing happens There's a workaround I found just now: 1. if I right click the menu item, context menu appears 2. if I have the option, I can open the link in a new tab 3. if I don't have the open new tab option, and I just click the menu item after opening the context menu, the menu item then registers the left click and does what it should I tried with some other browsers and the problem is not present there, so it's not likely a problem of those pages themselves and it worked a few weeks ago in Chromium as well. What is the expected behavior? The menus should work like they used to and like they do in other browsers and on other pages. What went wrong? Not sure. The problem seems to have started after last system update when Chromium package got updated. I don't remember changing any important settings or installing new plugins. Here's the package site, the package was last updated on 30th March: https://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/chromium/ Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes Is it a problem with a plugin? N/A Did this work before? Yes Not sure, probably the one before the last update (about 2 weeks ago). Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 57.0.2987.133 Channel: stable OS Version: Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 25.0 r0 I tried some other things mentioned on different menu problems people had. Like clearing the cache, disabling all plugins, resetting all the settings, trying it as a freshly created user and in incognito windows. None of that helped. The sites where I noticed the problem so far are: http://www.jgoodies.com/ http://www.idoklad.cz/ (this one needs login) http://www.fio.cz/ (this one needs login)

This is likely a duplicate of 701637 in which some window managers generated different events.

I'm using Awesome WM: https://awesomewm.org/. I checked the other report, interesting. I didn't try middle clicking the menu items, but that works for me and opens the link in a new tab. And also after I middle click one item and it opens the tab, I can left click another item and it opens the link in the same tab just fine. So the menus are not responding to the first left click in the menu and if I do some other action before left licking, then it gets registered properly. Is there something else I can try or further details that could help you?
