[MD settings] move site data out of cookies exceptions page |
||
Issue descriptionon chrome://settings/content/cookies there are two concepts on the same page. Let's separate them. The upper part of the page is about Content Settings and exceptions to those settings. The lower part of the page is about cookie and site data stored on the local computer. Having them combined creates several issues, all of which would be resolved by separating them: - The cookie and site data is slow to load which interferes with the user getting to the exceptions lists - When using the site data filter, the page can unexpectedly shift (see Issue 704005 ) - Having different concepts on the same UI makes the UI busy, hindering the UX - The site data UI is useful on its own, but a link to that UI is really a link to the site exceptions (the user needs to find the site data by scanning through the other UI).

Also, as dschuyler commented on Issue 730777 , the apparent freezing of the cookie page reported by that issue might be related to this one.

I believe this has been fixed. The site data is now on a subpage (although the entry point to the subpage is still in chrome://settings/content/cookies). Please if not fully fixed.

Yep, appears to be fixed. (I'm using version 66.0.3359.139 (Official Build) (64-bit).) |
