Onchange event doesn't fire if javascript changes text box value while having focus and user types original value back

Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/57.0.2987.133 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Create textbox with onchange event 2. Have textbox be updated through javascript while in textbox 3. Without leaving control the previous value for textbox back in and tab out 4. No onchange event is fired Here is a JSFiddle of the issue https://jsfiddle.net/4muj53d0/6/ What is the expected behavior? On change event is raise What went wrong? The onchange event does not execute if the value is typed back in. But does get raised if value set through javascript is typed back in Did this work before?
