Chrome Version: 57.0.2987.133 (Official Build) (64-bit) / Linux

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Open a new tab and go to www.irccloud.com
(2) Login
(3) Open task manager to observe CPU usage

What is the expected result?

While the chat is quiet, almost 0% CPU is used.

What happens instead?

When the tab is in front, its renderer process and GPU process eats
CPU around 80-100% each. 

I also tried the same on my MBP (mid-2014 core i7) and the number is
not that bad, but renderer/GPU uses 20-50% for each.

Opening www.irccloud.com on Firefox52 on Linux doesn't consume that
much CPU.
