Search + [right arrow] no longer works as END key. |
|||
Issue descriptionChrome Version: 57.0.2987.137 (64-bit) Chrome OS Version: 9202.60.0 (Official Build) stable-channel falco Chrome OS Platform: HP, circa 2014. Network info: Please specify Cr-* of the system to which this bug/feature applies (add the label below). Steps To Reproduce: (1) Hold down the search key and press the right arrow. Expected Result: The equivalent of pressing the END key on a full size keyboard. Actual Result: If I'm not holding down shift, the search window opens. If I'm holding down shift, the cursor moves over one character. How frequently does this problem reproduce? (Always, sometimes, hard to reproduce?) Every time I do this. What is the impact to the user, and is there a workaround? If so, what is it? It makes me want to use a laptop with a full keyboard. Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screen shot or log if possible. This seems to have started after a software update. It used to be that the search window didn't open unless you let up the search key without hitting any other keys. Now the search window comes up as soon as you press the search key down. This happens even if I disable the search key in the OS settings. Side note: I have never once intentionally used the search key to open the search window in the two and a half years I have been using a Chromebook.

ketakid, does that version of M57 contains the fix for Issue 701643 ? If not, then please dupe into Issue 701643 . Otherwise toss it back to use, and let's investigate.
