Sync and dialog windows are not working on Windows 10 Redstone 2

Reported by vladimir...@gmail.com, Apr 8 2017

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/57.0.2987.133 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Start up the browser.
2. Right-click on bookmark (on bookmark tab).
3. Browser freezes.
4. Start up the browser
5. Enter credentials for Google user.
6. It doesn't sync, browser freezes.

The only thing it does it sync the name on the tittle bar, but the rest of the setting like bookmarks and plugins are not synced.

What is the expected behavior?
To show a dialog window where I can edit the bookmark properties like changing the name and url.

What went wrong?
After right-clicking on a bookmark, browser crashes/freezes, I have to end/kill process through task manager.

Crashed report ID:

How much crashed? Whole browser

Is it a problem with a plugin? No

Did this work before? Yes Everything worked well before the Windows 10 Redstone 2 update.

Chrome version: 57.0.2987.133 Channel: beta
OS Version: 10.0 (15063)
Flash Version:

This is the upcoming Windows 10 major upgrade which rolls out to public on April 11th. Every single software on Redstone 2 works just fine, it's compatible, but Google Chrome is incompatible.
It's not just the tabs, sync is not working also. After the user to Google Chrome, browser also freezes and it won't sync at all, I have to terminate/kill the process from task manager.
The bottom line is, Google Chrome is incompatible with Redstone 2. The sync doesn't work (crash), editing bookmarks doesn't work (crash).
I also reported this crash to Microsoft (Feedback Hub).
I tried with fresh new installment of Windows 10 Creators Update, the first thing I did is installed Google Chrome browser and it still behaves the same.
I couldn't even uninstall Google Chrome from Control Panel.

Unable to reproduce this issue on Windows-10 using chrome latest stable #57.0.2987.133 by following steps mentioned in the original comment. Observed no crashes on right clicking the bookmark.

vladimir@ Thanks for filing this issue, Could you please provide sample crash ID's from chrome://crashes for further investigation.

Thanks!
Try clicking on "Edit".

I've provided system information.

Once again, I've installed Windows 10 Creators Update once again, very fresh installment. The first thing I did is I've installed Google Chrome, tried to reproduce the issue and it happened again. Maybe it's not Chrome, maybe it's Windows bug.

And about the "Crash ID" , "upload requested by user, not yet uploaded".

The title bar just turns white and I can't click anywhere. That's because the dialog window that needs to appear (where you can edit the name and the url of the bookmark as well as put it into folder) can't be seen. The windows is there, just not visible.

That is also the issue for "Stylish" extension. When I go to userstyles.org, and when I try to apply a style, I can't, because that dialog box for confirmation is not visible. The dialog windows that pops up, the button on the left is "Cancel" and on the right is "OK", that window is not visible.
I believe that's the same bug as 710783, the workaround is to go to Settings -> Show advanced settings -> untick "Use hardware acceleration when available"
YES! That totally worked! Thank you!
But now I can't use hardware acceleration. I need that.

Re-tested this issue on the latest Canary 63.0.3233.0 and latest Stable 61.0.3163.100 on Windows 7,10 and Mac OS 10.12.6 and unable to reproduce this issue by following the below steps.

1. Launched Chrome and checked the 'Use Hardware Acceleration when available' is Enabled in Chrome://settings page.
2. Right-clicked on a bookmark on the Bookmark tab and can observe no crashes. Can view the context menu on right-clicking on any bookmark.

Request you to update Chrome to the latest version and retry the issue. Update the thread if there are any issues.

Thanks..
In case you didn't notice, it was reported back in April. It was fixed a long time ago, in v59 or v60.
