Chromium hangs up the OS

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Ubuntu Chromium/57.0.2987.98 Chrome/57.0.2987.98 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open Chromium browser
2. Open 5-6 tabs
3. For a sure result open some website that contains Flash or Java

What is the expected behavior?

What went wrong?
After opening 5-6 tabs and waiting for 10-15 minutes just reading some website Chromium behaves like there's some memory leak, the whole operating system becomes extremely slow.

Crashed report ID: No

How much crashed? Whole browser

Is it a problem with a plugin? No 

Did this work before? N/A 

Chrome version: 57.0.2987.98  Channel: stable
OS Version: Mint 18.1 64 bit
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 25.0 r0
 
It's been happening since the latest Chromium update. There was no problem before the update.

pkharlampidi@ Are you still seeing this issue on chrome latest stable #61.0.3163.100? Please reply to this comment. If issue is still observed please provide crash ID's from chrome://crashes for further investigation.
