Html styled with font family starting with "-apple-system, system-ui, BlinkMacSystemFont....." is invisible / not rendered from the dom

Reported by austinbh...@gmail.com, Apr 5 2017

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/57.0.2987.133 Safari/537.36

Example URL:
https://yarnpkg.com/en/

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Use Windows 10 (build 14393)
2. Navigate to a page that declares fonts with '-apple-system, system-ui, BlinkMacSystemFont, "Segoe UI", Roboto, "Helvetica Neue", Arial, sans-serif'
;

What is the expected behavior?
I believe the fonts should default to some sort of font that can render.

What went wrong?
I can see the text values in chrome inspector, but the text which is declared with the '-apple-system' prefix in the font family breaks removes the text from the page.

This has occurred in several websites (github, new jhipster apps, ext.)

Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes

Is it a problem with a plugin? No

Did this work before? N/A

Does this work in other browsers? Yes

Chrome version: 57.0.2987.133 Channel: stable
OS Version: 10.0
Flash Version:

Google Canary also displays this. I wish I knew a better way to recreate this issue, but it happens in incognito & without plugins. Help would be appreciated.

Currently using style changer plugin to temp. fix this. Would love to uninstall. Any ideas?

I can't reproduce on Win 10 with Canary or M-58.

Is it possible to produce a test example?
