The version/build is exactly same as in screencast. I'm using ArchLinux with actual software.

... and I see you have no problem with dropdown menu like me :-|
I can reproduce it on:
Chrome: Version 57.0.2987.133 (64-bit)
OS: Ubuntu 14.04.5.

I'm using AwesomeWM as my window manager, not sure if that might be relevant.
If I switch to Unity (as sureshkumari is using) this seems to behave correctly.
I'm using Fluxbox.
Can reproduce on awesomeWM:
Chrome: Version 57.0.2987.133 (64-bit)
OS: Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS

Works fine with unity
Might be fixed in latest build according to: https://github.com/awesomeWM/awesome/issues/1479#issuecomment-287410587
Provides an alternative to work around the issue in awesomeWM as well.

Tested the issue on M57 #57.0.2987.133 and issue is reproduced on fluxbox window manager And is regression issue broken in M57 .

Using the per-revision bisect providing the bisect results,
Good build:57.0.2971.0(Revision: 441288).
Bad build: 57.0.2975.0 (Revision: 442120).

You are probably looking for a change made after 442075 (known good), but no later than 442076 (first known bad).
