Input buttons/submit with a defined line-height only resize with background-color assigned

Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/52.0 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Set line-height CSS attribute on input type button or submit What is the expected behavior? It should resize the button accordingly. What went wrong? It is not resizes unless another attribute makes it "kick-in", such as background-color. Did this work before? N/A Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: Version 57.0.2987.133 (64-bit) Channel: stable OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 21.0 r0

This isn't a recent regression. I reproduced with a Linux build from mid last year. Computed Style has the line-height: getComputedStyle(a).lineHeight "50px" getComputedStyle(b).lineHeight "normal"

Form control can't respect all of CSS properties by default. You need -webkit-appearance:none. Background property automatically set -webkit-appearance:none. |
