I find it very very unlikely that this is a widespread problem - otherwise we would have a lot more reports. Please go to chrome://GPU and paste the contents here. Exactly what ChromeBook are you using?

I am using an Asus Chromebook flip. If I try to load information about an item I get all of the written info plus a box which continually says 'loading image viewer'. I am confused.

I tried copying the details for the Bosch Drill I was looking at into my search bar and then clicked on the Amazon link. The details, with picture, came up immediately. Does that help at all?

I interpret comment #7 to mean that other images display fine, just certain images on certain pages are broken. I find Comment #5 confusing. What do you mean by "try to load information about an item"? What on the page are you clicking on? A screencast or even just a single screengrab would help us in understanding the issue. Test team, do you have access to the Asus Chromebook flip for testing?

I do a search on b&q website for power drills and, when all the options came up, I clicked on one of the items. I don't know how to do screencast but I saved the outcome as a PDF which I attach just in case it helps.

Just tried this on my Desktop PC. With Chrome I have the same problem but if I search using Firefox the images are displayed properly.

Thanks for your response. After some further trawling of the internet I came across some information regarding certain extensions on chrome which could cause problems of this type. I tried disabling some of these extensions and have established that an extension called 'privacybadger' was the cause. I have disabled that and all is now well. Will you feed that back to your technical people please as it may help in the future. Regards, Jim

Thanks for the feedback. It's my fault for not asking about extensions earlier, as they can definitely mess with images. Sorry for wasting your time.
