Webpage loads on Chrome for Android but not a WebView based browser

Reported by car...@instantbits.com, Apr 3 2017

Issue description

THIS TEMPLATE IS FOR FILING BUGS ON THE ANDROID SYSTEM WEBVIEW. GENERAL WEB BUGS SHOULD BE FILED USING A DIFFERENT TEMPLATE!

Device name: Don't know
Android version: 6.0.1
WebView version (from system settings -> Apps -> Android System WebView): 56.0.2924.87
Application: Various WebView browsers
Application version:

URLs (if applicable):http://espni.go.com/

Steps to reproduce:
Open http://espni.go.com/ from Uruguay, the issue only happens there.

Expected result:

The page should load fine, just like on Chrome for Android.

Actual result:

Just a gray screen loads. Look at screenshots.

Screenshots are of 3 different browsers, 2 are WebView browsers and 1 is Chrome for Android.

Thanks for filing a bug, a couple of questions:

What are the names of the (or links to their play store pages) WebView-based browsers in which the web page doesn't load?
How do you know this only works in Uruguay?
These are two tested browsers:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fevdev.nakedbrowser
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.instantbits.cast.webvideo

I'm the developer of the second browser, the user that reported this is in Uruguay. When I go to that page here in the US I just get redirected to an error. Seeing as how that page is for a media company, my guess is that this page is only for that country or maybe all of Latin America.
