Cursor looks blurry when setting img.src with a base64 icon

Cursor looks blurry compared with other browsers such as Firefox.

I cannot detect any difference between Chrome and Firefox on Linux, or Chrome and Safari and Firefox on Mac. That's with Chrome 58 and 59. Could you provide screen shots for us so we can see what you are seeing?
