Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/56.0.2924.87 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Use Chrome for a random time 2. monitor CPU usage with task manager 3. you will notice at some point a 10% Chrome process running all the time What is the expected behavior? 0% cpu time. Evem cosing all tabs wont solve the issue. The moment, I deactivate the Hangouts extension, the 10% cpu idle process vanishes. What went wrong? Hangouts using 8-10% CPU usage randomly, not at start but somehow triggered, until deactivating and reactivating the addon. WebStore page: Did this work before? Tested this on Windows-10, chrome version: 57.0.2987.133 and added Google Hangout Extension. Extension was open for 25 minutes but at no time saw the CPU memory spiked to 10%. @reporter: Could you please check the same on the latest stable: 57.0.2987.133 and confirm if the issue happens there as well.
