Enable automated web-platform-tests of animated image decoding |

Issue descriptionIn the APNG intent we discussed that animated image decoding behavior can't be tested via WPT yet. https://groups.google.com/a/chromium.org/forum/#!topic/blink-dev/xEOyu8QFCr0 foolip@ is this just another instance of "automation"? Is there a bug to block on?

I've created an umbrella bug now. Please link bugs from ship intents into that one.

There are actually a few tests for APNG in WPT now: https://github.com/web-platform-tests/wpt/tree/master/apng And there's an issue to import more tests like those: https://github.com/web-platform-tests/wpt/issues/5546 Testing intermediate frames in APNG is still impossible, as and there's no way to pause an animation or step to the next frame. This is half-fixed, so closing as WontFix, and perhaps after everything that can be done using static images is done and if there are interop problems with APNG, then we could explore doing more than this. |
