Remove Close X from Harmony modal dialogs on all desktop platforms |
||
Issue descriptionPlease update the Harmony *modal* dialog template to NOT include Close X. UI Review (2017 Feb 28): go/crhcxur Modal dialogs (previously centered dialogs): Spec: - No Close X on all desktop platforms - Have Cancel button, or a labeled button equivalent to Cancel Rationale: - Not ignorable: A button placed at the bottom guides the user to read the dialog content first before making a choice. This is an intended characteristic for a modal dialog. - Clarity on the action: A labeled button makes its result clear to the user. Note: Harmony *popover* dialogs have X instead of a labeled button ( bug 707264 ). Thanks!

This and bug 707264 are probably mostly metabugs, where actual work will happen on the specific bugs about converting particular dialogs. It's not immediately obvious to me if there's actual framework-level change needed here.

Making bug 707264 cover both popover-X and modal-no-X. |
