Don't automatically cc v8-reviews@ and send email on CQ dry run |

Issue descriptionI tend to upload temporary CLs so that I can run them against the full try bot suite before sending the CL out for review. I also throw away a lot of CLs. Currently, clicking on the dry run, adds v8-reviews@ to cc and sends an email triggering alerts for my teammates, not to mention all the useless emails. Can we not cc v8-review@ until I send out the first email for review? I don't know if this is an issue that can be fixed in PolyGerrit or in V8's use of PolyGerrit.

Yep, the fact that Gerrit sends more emails than Rietveld is well known, and something that the Gerrit team is working on. Although it's not *exactly* a duplicate, merging this into the issue tracking that work. Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any reasonable mitigations in the mean time. |
