Borders on repeated images

Reported by trentfro...@gmail.com, Mar 29 2017

Issue description

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. http://crystalpicnic.com is an example.
2. Use border-image or background-image with repeat-x
3. There are lines at the edges of the image that are not in the images themselves

What is the expected behavior?
Other browsers and Chrome desktop don't show these lines.

What went wrong?
Rendering is wrong on Android and has been for a long time.

Did this work before? No

Does this work in other browsers? Yes

Chrome version: 56 Channel: stable
OS Version: 6.0.1
Flash Version: n/a

You can see it specifically on http://crystalpicnic.com when the border-image and background color of the div are the same colour (see the H1 headings.) You can see the same thing on that page where the background-images meet the white background (bricks at top and bottom.)

I can confirm that borders are showing on android, but not on desktop. I have attached 2 images to show this.

Turns out it's not just on mobile. It seems to depend somewhat on the size/scaling of the screen. Here's a screenshot from Chromium on a Raspberry Pi.

I don't really see how this could be a style problem... hey paint folks - do you think this is something to do with painting?

Could you create a simpler test case? The given page is blocking my connection for some reason (could be I'm not on a good network right now).

This is probably due to rounding of image size issues, which are in my field.
Sorry if this wasn't clear, this issue was fixed some time ago (not sure
about Raspberry Pi but I think that was just simply still on an older
version of Chrome.) Thanks.
OK to WontFIx based on comment #9?
