Extra character $1 when connected to Ethernet

Issue description

Chrome OS 59.0.3051.3/9404.0.0 

Please specify Cr-* of the system to which this bug/feature applies (add
the label below).

Steps To Reproduce:
(1)Connect to the Ethernet
(2)Open the network setting on Uber tray
(3)

Expected Result: No extra character 

Actual Result:see :$1 at the end 

How frequently does this problem reproduce? (Always, sometimes, hard to
reproduce?)

What is the impact to the user, and is there a workaround? If so, what is
it?

log if possible.
