Poor audio quality on Google Hangouts Only

Issue description

Audio quality is poor - as if the audio is being over-compressed or utilizing low bandwidth.

This is isolated to Google Hangouts. Other websites utilizing audio (YouTube, Pandora, etc.) sound fine.

Google Hangouts uses realtime audio streaming whereas YouTube, Pandora etc have the benefit of being able to buffer the audio and aren't nearly as sensitive to low network bandwidth. Also, the microphone being used by the remote end in a Hangout call, will generally not give the same audio quality as one might find in a youtube clip or when playing via Pandora, so that might also be a factor.

Please file feedback directly in the Hangouts UI next time you experience poor audio.
