Regression: Text under 'Privacy and security' in chrome://md-settings does not get translated to Hindi.

Issue descriptionChrome Version: 59.0.3051.3 (Official Build) 72fc024ca62005df23d4eb5c9a341c61ed188f9e-refs/branch-heads/3051@{#3} (32/64-bit) OS: Windows (7,8,10) What steps will reproduce the problem? 1) Launch chrome, change the browser language to Hindi and relaunch the browser. 2) Navigate to chrome://md-settings and click on 'Advanced' button. 3) Under 'Privacy and security' observe the text under 'Content settings' and 'Clear browsing data'. Text does not get translated to Hindi. Text should get translated to Hindi. This is a Regression issue broken in M-59, will soon update other info Manual bisect: Good build: 59.0.3049.0 Bad build: 59.0.3050.0 Note: Issue is not seen on Mac and Linux OS.

This is indeed the result of the CL listed above, and is intentional - the strings were updated very recently, and thus the translated version is not ready yet. This should not be a concern, because: - MD settings haven't been launched yet (this is still behind a flag) - M59 hasn't had feature freeze yet, so these strings will have enough time to be translated before Beta/Stable launches; the regression will only appear on Dev/Canary Closing as WontFix. Please reopen if the scope of the regression was larger. |
