Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_11_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/56.0.2924.87 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Get a DJVU document 2. Try to open it in Chromebook 3. Chromebook does not support DJVU file format (http://djvu.org/) What is the expected behavior? DJVU document opens and can be viewed. What went wrong? Cannot view a DJVU document. Did this work before? No Chrome version: 56.0.2924.110 Channel: stable OS Version: 9000.91.0 Flash Version: I believe native application would be appropriate.

Considering this as Feature request and marking it as Untriaged to get more inputs from dev team. Thanks.

Looks like there are already a couple viewers in the Web Store: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/search/djvu re: comment 1 - Maybe check the Web Store for PostScript viewers? re: comment 4 - This is a completely separate format and not related to the built-in PDF Viewer.

IMHO, third-party applications are overkill. It is more convenient to have the native document viewer to support PDF, PostScript, DVI, and DjVu, like normal GNU/Linux document viewers do, e.g. Evince. It is very annoying that every now and then Google Scholar search results cannot be opened on Chrome OS. |
