Seen unknown extension at guest browser window. |

Issue descriptionGoogle Chrome 59.0.3049.0 (Official Build) dev (32-bit) Platform 9397.0.0 (Official Build) dev-channel veyron_minnie Firmware Version Google_Veyron_Minnie.6588.237.0 Please specify Cr-* of the system to which this bug/feature applies (add the label below). Steps To Reproduce: login to guest user account and Open browser window or Open incognito window at user account. Expected Result: Should not be any extensions at guest browser window. Actual Result: Seen some unknown extension. How frequently does this problem reproduce? (Always, sometimes, hard to reproduce?) What is the impact to the user, and is there a workaround? If so, what is it? Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screen shot or log if possible. For graphics-related bugs, please copy/paste the contents of the about:gpu page at the end of this report.

None of the extensions are enabled to allow in Incognito.

This is actually the quickoffice extension which is a component extension which should not be showing up there in any case.

QuickOffice was suppose to be a component extension. It also does not show in chrome://extensions as such. There is no reason to show it as a browser action either.

Sonny, could you look at this? Component extensions should not be showing up on the bar, at all, ever.

@6 Component extensions that specify a browser action should. Otherwise it fundamentally breaks the extension's capabilities. The right answer is that component extensions should probably not specify a browser action, at all, ever. :) Duping into a different report. |
